8th October 2007: Fern Bay Black Day

A race that initially looked like a promising fight between some of the top GFC drivers turned out to be a disaster in the end. There were only 15 cars on the grid for this race and by the mid point of the race there had been 6 drivers retire. However, in the closing laps there were 4 instantaneous disconnections leaving only 5 runners left. NoGhost was negotiating the last coner in the lead of his first GFC race (following Storm_Cloud's disconnection from the lead) when he suffered the same fate and disconnected.

In the FOX class the two front runners FiredUp and Gentlefoot also suffered the disconnection leaving only 2 drivers left in the class. In the end only Tob and Flip completed the race. This result now leaves R4R leading both FO8 and FOX classes with Storm_Cloud moving into the lead in the FO8 championship.

23 September 2007: Championship is Kept Alive

The GFC championship was kept alive in both classes today as the championship leaders failed to get the results they needed to seal it. Huppis took a win in the FO8 championship while Forbin failed to make it onto the grid. Storm Cloud and Tob get the podium places

Meanwhile in the FOX class Gentlefoot had a very poor performance littered with errors that saw him finish well down the order while .define. took the win. However his closest rival Nigelpm only finished one place ahead of him. A strong performance too from FiredUp and count.bazley here at Westhill to take the other podiums.

About Live For Speed

Live For Speed is a realistic racing simulator that a friend who runs Balance Motorsport discovered in the autumn of 2005. He showed me it and I've been playing it ever since and I highly recommend anyone who hasn't tried it to download the free demo from the LIve For Speed main site.

Gentlefoot.com can help people get more fun from their time playing LFS by running leagues, providing good car setups, track guides and other useful information, links and tools.
